The field of sociology and anthropology deals with the systematic study of human society and in the identification of general behavioral patterns of individuals, groups and institutions.

Students in our department learn to research, analyze and understand central social phenomena, both past and present, global and local alike. In addition to learning about social processes, students will become acquainted with relevant research methods and analytic tools with the aim of acquiring the ability to take part in sociological and anthropological research.

Our perspective in the department encourages a critical examination of our perceptions of ourselves and of others. Similarly, our aim is provide a deeper understanding of human multiplicity.
