אני פרופסור חבר בבית הספר למדע המדינה, אוניברסיטת חיפה. יש לי תואר דוקטור בממשל מאוניברסיטת קורנל. מחקרי הראשון עוסק בספרות העוסקת בנסיגה דמוקרטית; הוא בוחן את השחיקה של נורמות ומוסדות דמוקרטיים; ומאתגר את הנחות היסוד של השתתפות דמוקרטית. מחקרי השני מתמקד באופן שבו בריאות דמוקרטית מעצבת את רווחתו הפיזיולוגית והפסיכולוגית של הציבור, והשפעותיה על עיצוב עמדותיהם של האזרחים, העדפותיהם האלקטורליות והשתתפותם. מחקריי פורסמו בכתבי עת מובילים בתחום מדע המדינה, תקשורת ורפואה, ופורסמו בכלי תקשורת שונים, כולל הניו יורק טיימס והארץ. שימשתי כפרופסור אורח באוניברסיטת סטנפורד ובאוניברסיטת קורנל.
