ד"ר פורמן-רבינוביץ' קיבלה את הדוקטורט שלה בבית הספר למדעי המדינה, ממשל ויחסים בינלאומיים באוניברסיטת תל אביב, וסיימה את המסלול הישיר לדוקטורט בהצטיינות יתרה. כעמיתת פוסט-דוקטורט במחלקה לסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה באוניברסיטת תל אביב, היא תרמה לפרויקט "אי שוויון מגדרי אינדיבידואלי לעומת אי שוויון מבני" במימון ה-ERC. לאחר מכן, שימשה כעמיתת מחקר אורחת במכללת אוקסידנטל.
